As soon as we think of beach, the first thing that comes to our mind is Goa for its picturesque view, serenity, silvery/golden sand and adventurous activity. Also it is always overcrowded attracting many tourists and foreigners across the world.
But if your are looking for peace and tranquility with quality me time away from crowd and all worriers in life Kudle beach is the best. Kudle is small pocket beach situated in between coconut plantation on one side and rocky outcrop on the other side. It is one of the clean and scenic beaches of Gokarna, Karnataka.
This serene beach is less crowded when compared to other beaches as it is cut off from the main tourist spots and you feel blissful having peaceful walk watching spectacular Sunset view as it can be enjoyed with solitude.
This place is almost deserted, except for the peak months from November to February and is mostly invaded by many foreigners, newly wed couples, solo travelers, less crowd seeking friends and families. Many prefer site seeing, admiring sunset view and beach trekking where you can enjoy the scenery of hills and the sea. Meditation and yoga is also practiced by many in the dusk or dawn for improving ones health and channeling positivity in life.
I have also heard of water sport activities like biking, banana rides and boating to nearest beaches on prevail request but the price rates tend to be usually on the higher side. Otherwise the sea itself is good enough for playing and getting hit by waves, as the sea is calm and safe enough for sea lovers like us to play and admire the magnificent view of the sea but its always better to be careful as there is no lifeguard and the place is also less crowded. Don’t forget applying good suncreen to prevent those everlasting tan.
From main Gokarna bus stand, Kudle is just 15-20mins away if you hire a auto but you have to walk down to the beach from the dropping site.
We drove all the way via sirsi to kudle, Gokarna in our personal car which is around 480km from bangalore and parked 0.5km away from Gokarna International Hotel which was right opposite to the beach as there is no parking site available near the hotel. So we had to walk for about 10 mins to reach the Hotel after pay parking.
Stay:
For overnight stay we booked a cottage online from the Gokarna International Hotel site luckily we had it vacant for INR 3200. The Hotel is located right opposite to the beach but our cottage missed the scenic view of the sea as it was surrounded by other rooms and cottages however beautiful garden and clean environment was refreshing to our eyes and mind. I have read many reviews complaining about rooms not being maintained and no proper service delivered. But in our case we had no complains regarding such issues. If your looking for luxurious stay in and around kudle there are few up the hill but many prefer staying in small huts made of bamboo available with electricity and bathroom which costs incredibly low for the adventurous experience. The hotel also provides facilities like clean Swimming pool and Meditating space which is surrounded by garden but we were busy having fun with beach waves. I had heard about different types of delicious food served in Kudle but food served to us at the hotel lacked variety with few Non veg menu and had moderate taste.
